How does the Booster work?

This all-in-one Load Shedding Signal Booster seeks to improve signals for all network services and their various partners throughout South Africa and other parts of Africa.

How To Perform A Simple Install?

First, pick a location with at least 1 bar of mobile signal, ideally on the roof or at a prominent location outside the property.  Simply upgrade & add a second backup load shedding antenna (parabolic antenna) if you can’t see 1 0r 2 signal bars on your cell phone from the outside. Install the outdoor antenna such that it faces the main direction of the network tower. Connect the other end of the 10m cable to the booster inside the building and run it up to the external antenna on top of the roof. See the example of how high to mount your outdoor antenna; it is always horizontal and never vertical as shown below.

Depending on where it is positioned and how it is linked to the coaxial cable, the external antenna will pull both the weak & strong signal from the service provider’s tower at an angle of 180 degrees then brings the signal into the booster.

Finally the booster redistributes amplified & stronger signal coverage through the indoor antenna(s) inside the building & that’s how your cell phones receive a much stronger signal.

During your setup simply ensure that every antenna cable is firmly fastened and correctly connected to the corresponding ports. At least 10 meters should separate the booster’s indoor antenna to the exterior antenna to avoid oscillation.

Once you’ve powered up the system, your cell phone signal will immediately get better. You can then relax & benefit from a strong signal for your calls & faster streaming with your data downloads on your devices & same for your uploads.

On occasion you may need to reposition the external antenna & check for any loose connections if the outcome is different from what you expected. Make sure all connections are made to the proper BTS and MS Ports once more. (BTS is for the outdoor antenna and MS is for the indoor antenna). If you experience any issues, don’t hesitate to ask our technical support team for help.
